Cellulose is a complex carbohydrate that is the main constituent of plant cell walls, and is used in the manufacture of paper, rope, textiles, (eg cotton and linen) and plastics (eg Cellophane). A Flake is a small flat particle which has broken away or is breaking away from a larger object. So a cellulose flake is a small particle of cellulose.
Carbon zinc is a generic term for primary dry batteries of the LeClanche or zinc chloride systems.
