A semiconductor is a material which has electrical conductivity to a degree between that of a metal (such as copper) and that of an insulator (such as glass). Semiconductors are the foundation of modern solid state electronics, including transistors, solar cells, light-emitting diodes (LEDs), quantum dots and digital and analog integrated circuits.

A screw and a bolt are similar types of fastener typically made of metal and characterized by a helical ridge, called a male thread (external thread). Screws and bolts are used to fasten materials by the engagement of the screw thread with a similar female thread (internal thread) in a matching part.

Stainless refers to a type of steel that is resistant to corrosion and staining. Stainless steel is an alloy of iron, chromium, and other metals that provides a durable and corrosion-resistant material that is well suited for use in a wide range of applications.
