Fabrication is described as a number of metalworking techniques that allow a part to be assembled from smaller components. Welding, adhesive bonding and fastening by the use of bolts and rivets are the most widely used examples.
Among the metals being fabricated are steel, aluminum, alloy, zinc, brass, etc. Some of the metal fabricating activities or services are: metal stamping, roll forming, embossing, blanking, etc.
Applications for metal fabricated materials include various industries, among them are:
1. Aerospace industry for hangars doors and roofs;
2. Construction industry for roofing and bridge decking;
3. Transportation for roofing and flooring of trucks and trains ; and
4. In other applications, as medical and appliance manufacturing, etc.
