Dunnage is described as a material laid beneath or wedged between cargo to prevent damage during transport. Moreover, it is the material used to protect or support freight in or on trucks. Dunnage are off-cuts of timber used for packaging and stabilising cargo to protect it from damage during shipping and transport. Often very poor quality timber is used for dunnage.
